Product Description
Product Description
The TSV53301 is a 3-outlet thermostatic rough-in shower valve designed to control three shower functions through two separate operating handles. Its solid brass cast body incorporates a French Vernet CA43 thermostatic cartridge, a 2-way ceramic diverter cartridge in the upper position and a single-function ceramic shut-off cartridge in the lower position.
The upper control switches water between two outlets, operating one selected function at a time. The lower control independently turns the third outlet on or off. Either upper outlet can operate simultaneously with the lower outlet, allowing two compatible shower functions to run together while maintaining the preset water temperature.
When tested individually at 3 bar, the selected upper outlet delivers 22.5 L/min and the bottom outlet delivers 26.8 L/min. Standard 3/4-inch inlet and outlet connections support the water delivery requirements of multi-function shower systems.
The fully enclosed rough-in box protects the valve during installation and includes cutting reference lines and a built-in bubble level for accurate positioning. Its adjustable installation depth ranges from 75 to 107 mm.
The universal valve platform is compatible with multiple Aquavit trim designs and finish options.
Trim plate, handles and other exterior trim components are not included.
Features
- Solid Brass Valve Body – The cast brass construction provides strength, pressure resistance and long-term reliability for concealed shower installations.
- French Vernet Thermostatic Cartridge – The centrally positioned Vernet CA43 cartridge regulates the mixed-water temperature when inlet pressure or water temperature changes.
- Three-Outlet Configuration – Controls three connected shower functions through one 2-way diverter and one independent shut-off control.
- Upper 2-Way Diverter Control – The upper ceramic cartridge switches between two shower outlets, operating one selected upper outlet at a time.
- Independent Lower Outlet Control – The lower single-function ceramic cartridge independently turns the third shower outlet on or off.
- Simultaneous Two-Function Operation – Either selected upper outlet can operate together with the independently controlled lower outlet.
- Integrated Shut-Off Functions – Both operating controls allow their connected water functions to be turned off without changing the preset temperature.
- Individual Outlet Flow Rates – The selected upper outlet delivers 22.5 L/min, while the bottom outlet delivers 26.8 L/min at 3 bar when tested individually.
- Standard 3/4-Inch Connections – The 3/4-inch inlet and outlet threads support reliable water delivery for multi-outlet shower systems.
- Integrated Check Valves – Built-in check valves help prevent crossflow between the hot and cold water supply lines.
- Adjustable Installation Depth – The 75–107 mm rough-in range accommodates different wall constructions and finished-wall thicknesses.
- Fully Enclosed Rough-In Box – The installation box protects the valve body and internal components during wall construction.
- Accurate Installation Alignment – Cutting reference lines and a built-in bubble level assist with depth setting and horizontal alignment.
- Universal Trim Compatibility – The concealed valve platform supports multiple Aquavit trim designs and finish options.
-
Protective EPE Packaging – The valve and rough-in box are packed with EPE foam to reduce transportation and handling damage.

Inquire for Project/OEMFrequently Asked Questions
What is the TSV5 thermostatic shower valve body made of?
The TSV5 features a solid cast-brass valve body for reliable strength, pressure resistance, and long-term durability.
What type of thermostatic cartridge does it use?
It uses a French Vernet thermostatic cartridge that maintains the selected water temperature within ±1.5°C for stable and comfortable showering.
What is the flow rate of the valve?
At 3 bar, the upper outlet delivers approximately 22.5 L/min and the lower outlet approximately 26.8 L/min when tested individually. Actual flow may vary depending on water pressure and system configuration.
What are the installation requirements?
The valve uses G3/4 inlet and outlet connections and requires an installation depth of approximately 81–103 mm. Built-in horizontal and vertical spirit levels help ensure accurate alignment.
Can it be installed in both solid and hollow walls?
Yes. The fully enclosed rough-in box includes multiple mounting points, allowing secure concealed installation in both solid and hollow wall constructions.
Does the valve include check valves and service stops?
Yes. Integrated check valves help prevent crossflow, while the built-in service stops allow the water supply to be isolated for inspection and maintenance.
Is the rough-in valve universal, and does it come in different finishes?
The same TSV5 rough-in valve can be paired with multiple trim finishes and handle designs within the corresponding outlet configuration.
What if the rough-in valve is installed too deep?
Extension kits are available for installations that exceed the standard depth range. Please contact our sales team with the valve model and actual installation depth to confirm the correct extension kit.
