Product Description
The Aquavit PBV41101 is a universal pressure-balancing rough-in valve designed for concealed shower installations. Its solid brass body and Taiwan Yizhan 40 mm cartridge provide reliable pressure-balancing performance and smooth water control.
Integrated service shut-offs allow the hot and cold water supplies to be isolated directly at the valve, simplifying installation and maintenance. The universal valve works with all compatible trim finishes, allowing the final finish to be selected after the rough-in stage.

1. How does the PBV4 pressure-balance shower valve operate?
Lift the main handle to turn the water on and adjust the flow. Turn the handle left or right to control the water temperature. Multi-outlet models use either a rotary or push diverter to select the desired shower outlet.
2. Can the rough-in valve be installed before the trim finish is selected?
Yes. The PBV4 rough-in valve has no decorative finish. Once the required number of outlets and diverter type have been confirmed, the valve can be installed during the rough-in stage. The trim design and finish can be selected later from compatible PBV4 options.
3. What if the rough-in valve is installed too deep?
Extension kits are available for installations that exceed the recommended rough-in depth. Please provide the model number and actual installation depth to our sales team so we can confirm the correct extension kit.
4. What is the flow rate of the PBV4 valve?
For the PBV41101 single-outlet model, the tested flow rate is approximately 5.3 GPM at 60 PSI. Flow rates vary by model, outlet configuration and site water pressure. Please refer to each product’s specification sheet for exact data.
5. What are the inlet and outlet connection sizes?
PBV4 valves use standard 1/2" NPT connections for compatibility with North American plumbing systems. Always verify the piping layout and outlet configuration before installation.
6. Is the PBV4 valve certified?
Yes. The PBV4 rough-in valve and applicable shower components are available with relevant North American plumbing certifications.
