Key Features
1. Hot-Forged Brass 2-Outlet Rough-In Body
The hot-forged solid brass body is designed for two separate shower outlets, providing reliable strength and long-term pressure resistance.
2. Two-Stage Installation Platform
The rough-in valve can be installed and pressure-tested during the initial construction stage. Compatible cartridges and finished trim can be selected and installed later, helping protect decorative components and simplify project scheduling.
3. Built-In Pressure Test Cap
The included test cap allows the plumbing system to be flushed and pressure-tested before the cartridges and decorative trim are installed.
4. Integrated Check Valves & Service Stops
Built-in check valves help prevent reverse flow, while the integrated service stops allow the hot and cold water supplies to be shut off directly at the valve for easier inspection and maintenance.
5. Yizhan Pressure-Balance Cartridge
The Taiwan Yizhan pressure-balance cartridge helps maintain a stable shower temperature when the hot or cold water supply pressure changes.
6. Two-Outlet Ceramic Diverter
The rotary ceramic diverter allows the user to select between two separate shower outlets.
Product Description
The Aquavit PBV82201 is a two-outlet pressure-balancing rough-in valve designed for concealed shower installations. Its solid brass valve body provides a durable waterway, while the pressure-balancing design helps maintain a stable shower temperature when hot or cold supply pressure changes.
The universal rough-in housing allows the valve to be installed and pressure-tested before the compatible finished trim is selected.

Inquire for Project/OEMFrequently Asked Questions
1. How do the different PBV8 valve configurations operate?
All PBV8 models use a lift-and-turn main control. Lift the handle to turn the water on and adjust the flow, then rotate it to control the temperature.
- 1-outlet model: Operates one shower outlet without a diverter.
- 2-outlet model: Uses a rotary ceramic diverter to select between two outlets.
- 3-outlet model: Uses a rotary ceramic diverter to select among three outlets.
2. Can the PBV8 rough-in valve be installed before the trim is selected?
Yes. The PBV8 rough-in valve has no decorative finish and can be installed during the early construction stage. The cartridge, trim design and finish can be selected and installed later.
3. Can the piping be pressure-tested before installing the cartridge and trim?
Yes. Every PBV8 rough-in valve includes a pressure-test cap, allowing the piping system to be flushed and pressure-tested before the cartridge and decorative trim are installed.
4. What are the connection sizes and rough-in body dimensions?
All PBV8 models use standard 1/2" NPT male connections.
- PBV81101 – 1 outlet: 137 × 104 × 91 mm; four 1/2" NPT connections
- PBV82201 – 2 outlets: 137 × 164 × 91 mm; four 1/2" NPT connections
- PBV82301 – 3 outlets: 137 × 164 × 91 mm; five 1/2" NPT connections
Always refer to the model-specific drawing before preparing the wall opening and pipework.
5. What is included with a complete PBV8 shower valve and trim set?
A complete PBV8 set includes the appropriate rough-in valve, pressure-balance cartridge, ceramic diverter cartridge where applicable, trim plate and control handles.
The included components vary by outlet configuration and trim design. Please check the individual product specifications before ordering.
6. Do PBV8 valves include check valves and service stops?
Yes. Integrated check valves help prevent reverse flow, while the built-in service stops allow the hot and cold supplies to be shut off directly at the valve for easier inspection and maintenance.
7. Can the rough-in valve and finished trim be ordered separately?
Yes. PBV8 rough-in valves and compatible trim-and-cartridge kits can be ordered separately for phased project installation, replacement or inventory planning. Complete sets are also available and remain the preferred option for most customers.
8. Can Aquavit provide a working display solution for the PBV8 series?
Yes. Aquavit can provide a simplified operational display solution for showrooms and dealer displays. It does not require wall cutting or installation of a complete shower system, while still allowing customers to operate the controls and understand the different valve functions.
9. What if the PBV8 rough-in valve is installed too deep?
Extension kits are available if the PBV8 rough-in valve is installed deeper than the recommended range. Please provide the valve model and actual installation depth to Aquavit’s sales team so we can confirm the correct extension kit.
